How often should my computer be updated?

Operating system updates and patches are being released almost daily.  A good preventative maintenance strategy should include regular updates at least monthly.  More often is even better.

How often should I be checking for viruses?

Your computer should be checking for virus updates every day.  You should also perform a full system scan on a weekly basis at the very minimum.

How often should my data be backed up?

That depends on how bad it would be to lose your data.  Are you willing to risk a days work?  A week?  Daily backups are probably the most important and most overlooked things in any average business.  Also, if your backup media isn't going off site, then you really have no backup at all.  Maybe our remote backup service is right for you!
